Always be grateful for elbows!

Our neighbor boy was baptized tonight. He was excited about everything. He was so excited to have some of his church buddies come. Every time one would come in he would announce, "Hey, another one of my friends came." He went around hugging everyone. After we sang the opening song he clapped. Everything was just so exciting. Daddy conducted and I was asked to give the talk on baptism.

Yesterday was the Relief Society Conference for the stake. The workshops were so great. I went to 3 of the workshops. One was done by the fabulous Kathy Haimson. She spoke about the book that President Hinckley's daughter wrote (I don't remember the name, but it's new) which talks about 'a change of heart'. She also spoke about a book called Ida B. It is a story about how a girl's heart was changed. It is a children's book, but we could all benifit from it.

The next was on Gratitude. It was nice to reflect on the things I am grateful for. The speaker told us the first thing she can remember being truly grateful for was her elbows. She was kneeling down during family prayer and realized how hard it would be to pray if she couldn't bend her arms. She went on to tell us many the things we wouldn't be able to do if we didn't have elbows. Great story.

The last workshop was given by Sister Carlson, the stake president's wife. She spoke about communication in marriage. She talked about a book called, 'The 5 Love Languages.' I have heard about this book for about 6 months, so I decided it was time to get it. It is a great book and I highly recommend it.

It has been super windy today and has added a bunch of excitement to the day. We have had so much weather this year, lots of rain and wind. It has been really fun.

Welcome to March!
